Rena here from Ecuador! Hi to All, So sorry that the pics did not come, unfortunately, I will have to wait till the young woman at the clinic gets here on Monday. She can show me how to do it, maybe. All is going well, except, that I have been unusually tired...I slept for two hours after breakfast, woke up to eat lunch and have been sitting since then...I have a long uphill or downhill walk to the kitchen and then, there are no chairs there...everything looks really new, so, I am thinking that they have not gotten to it, yet. I will see about getting some on Monday! I heard that Mary Young and her sons arrived here at the farm late last night. Gary is doing a presentation in Peru on Thursday and I am hoping that after that, he will come to the farm. I am hoping to visit with at least Mary and her sons, at some point. It is just a short walk up the hill to their home. My room is nice, but, not sealed very well and mosquitoes and bugs come in at night...I will do quite the tape job tonite on the windows!!!! Last night, I was working on my laptop and look at the wall next to my bed, where my night table light is....ithere were about 20 bugs and mosquitoes on the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out....started killing ALL of them...three lights.....three walls of bugs to kill!!!!! I did not sleep till all were killed! Thanks goodness that they were not as fast as the ones we have. We are not allowed to put toilet tissue into the commode...there are garbage cans on sider of the toilets and you put your used tissue in there...it feels so weird....something to do with their sewerage systems. There are only two other patients here besides me and both are from Peru. The man, THANK GOD, speaks English, but, the woman, as sweet as can be, speaks Spanish to me NON STOP, as if I can understand it all....makes me VERY NERVOUS! There are a lot of locals that come in during the day for therapies, but, are not residents of the clinic. The ones that I have talked to, have wonderful things to say about their recoveries. I will be getting colonics, Raindrop therapies, hot tub soaks with Ylang Ylang oil, FarInfrared treatments with oils on me and of course, I will be getting IV treatments. I got one the other day for minerals, nutrients, etc. I did feel better after that. The Dr. will be out of town on Monday, so, it will be Tuesday before I can see her. I sure hope that she takes me right away! It is quiet here and nothing to do, but therapies, and rest. It has been good, because, I have not had the energy to do anything. The trip must have taken a lot of my energy. The new environment and the pathogens that my body is coming into contact with, is all part of the adjustment, too! I have had no breads, sweets, only fruits, veggies rice and quinoa, and fish and chicken. The food has been surprisingly more than I expected. There is a chef that cooks for us, three meals a day. He is very good, and it is always interesting to experience the new recipes for me. I am learning good things! Sundays, we are on our own for cooking, and, the man from Peru cooked a fish soup. It was good, not like our gumbos, :) , but good....I do not think that he would make it in south Louisiana, if he opened a a restaurant! LOL! Tonite, I cooked some apples and cinnamon on a toasted tortilla wrap...they moaned....HAHA! the first dessert like dish, that they have had....leave it to me, to contaminate the bunch of us! I am tiring, so, I must nap...Marcie comes on Thursday, and, I will be excited for her arrival. Love you, Rena
