Rene Triay Your photo inspired me to post one I took about three years ago at our local municipal airport. The lightning in this approaching storm was very bright and intense. Image shot at F-8, ISO 100, 30 second exposure. Ive tried to get some long exposure shot of daytime thunderstorms but have problems with way overexposing the shot . The long exposure enables one to get all the little leaders of lightning and Ive thought about trying a neutral density filter to help. How dark a filter should I go with? Any other suggestions to capture a shot as this in the daytime with out blowing out the exposure?
