Renee, you are such a precious gift to me. Your gifts are sweet, and tender, and thoughtful, just like you. They are words that are spoken- words of concern and care. They are the questions that you ask to make sure we are okay. Your gifts often naughty and hysterical, just like you. They are completely wonderfully funny thoughts and ponderings that make us love you even more, if that were possible. You have given me so much laughter. You are my healer. You have been vulnerable with me. You bared your soul to me, and I carry that as a precious memory. You are my friend. You let me be vulnerable with you. You are my confidante. You shared your beautiful children with me...their smiles, their tantrums, and their reality. And I love them so. I will be a person who carries them in my heart and prayers for life. We will love them and tell them about you. You shared your family. You are family to all of us. Can you feel our prayers? Our love? We, each one of us, stands around your bedside now, solidarity, protection, love... We stand around your family now. We stand by Jake. We surround your children, your family. We stand to offer comfort, support, love, and prayer. We stand out of respect and honor to you, dear one. You are slowly drifting away from us, But I know that Jesus will meet you...hold you..smile with you. We will smile through our tears for you. No more pain for you. You fought so hard. You have already left a huge hole in our lives, But the ways that you filled our hearts will ease that pain. You are a light. You will always shine. I love you sweet friend. Thank you.
