Rep. Allen Fletcher has reached out to Blazer Construction to ask them to reconsider building on Huffmeister, and build on their alternative site on the east side of town. Matt Fuqua, son-in-law of the owner, whom Rep. Fletcher spoke to, is not willing to reconsider. However, they still do not have water, and they do not have sewage. Mr. Fuqua says he is looking into alternative options. James Hardin spoke to Mr. Homan of Water District 61, and they are standing firm on their decision of no. Its not over yet - we are still fighting the fight! As of to date, the land has not been sold by the property owners.
