Rep. Mike Fleck (R) was a four-term Republican state - TopicsExpress

Rep. Mike Fleck (R) was a four-term Republican state representative in a mountainous rural district in central Pennsylvania who appears to have lost to a write-in candidate, county treasurer Richard Irvin, after winning his last three bids for re-election unopposed. One thing has changed since his last election: Fleck has come out as gay. I dont quite understand gay Republicans. They insist on supporting people who invalidate their very existence and legislate their lives to second-class status. Its tragic watching gay Republicans waste their time cheering for the ideology of people who are not emotionally, spiritually and morally mature enough to embrace American ideals like freedom and equal protection under the law in the type of free democratic society the GOP pretends to love. Frankly, being a gay Republican is not much of a stretch from being a Jewish Nazi... or a gay Nazi, for that matter (given that gays were some of the first targets of the Nazi regime). Face it, gay Republicans... The GOP just arent that into you. Since they cant lock gays away in some reparative therapy camp, theyll settle for the closet. You see, CONs like to pretend theyre rugged individuals, but just try and assert yourself as different from the herd - they dare you.
