Reply from NEA on application of hawker stalls for sharing............... We refer to the representation made on your behalf by Adviser Er Dr Lee Bee Wah, MP for Nee Soon GRC, to apply for a stall at the new hawker centre to be built in Yishun. The new centre to be built in Yishun is in the design stage and details on the conditions of application, types of trade and rental rates of stalls are still being worked out. The centre is expected to be completed by 2017 and will be located at the junction of Yishun Ave 4 and Yishun Ring Rd. We ask for your understanding and patience for the plans to be announced when they are finalised. More details will be made known publicly when ready. Meanwhile, if you are interested in renting a hawker stall in our existing hawker centres, you may do so under our Tender Scheme. There is no reserve rent in our tender of vacant stalls. This means that vacant stalls will be allocated to the highest bid, whatever the bid price, as long as there are competitive bids. Our monthly tender exercise is generally held from the 13th to 26th of each month. Details of the tender and the stalls available will be published in The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Berita Harian and Tamil Murasu, on the 13th of every month. This information will also be posted on our website at nea.gov.sg and displayed on the notice board at our Customer Service Centre (CSC) located at HDB Hub East Wing, #26-01, 480 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh. During the period of tender, tender forms are available at our CSC for $10 per copy. Please note that the tender exercise closes at 10.30am on the 26th of each month, or the next working day if the 26th falls on a weekend or public holiday.
