Reports like this make my heart heavy. We all need to come together as communities to help those in need. People should never have to come to the point where violence like this perpetrated against others or themselves seems like the only answer or solution. My question is what other resources does the caseworker refer folks to? Are they redirected to a food bank? Does the caseworker help do some of the footwork? People in dire straits sometimes become paralyzed and may need someone to step in and show them the way. Even more they may need to actually walk some of the steps for them.
