#Repost @olychad with @repostapp.・・・Work that bottom position so your body can/will actually use it on your heaviest cleans and snatches. If it is not usable, the heavier the weight, the more your body will hesitate to go there and will likely attempt to receive the bar higher and higher. I believe that ensuring your bottom position is as prepared as possible is one of the keys to weightlifting, the biggest key that is, and perhaps the most overlooked at this time. This is also one of the first components of the lifts we discuss and practice in regards to why and how to develop within the @crossfit_weightlifting Advanced Trainer Course through most of the 1st half of day 1 and then continually throughout the remainder of the 2 days. I believe this should be the 1st point of assessment and 1st position set on the right path for the lifts and then continually emphasized for maintenance throughout ones time as a lifter. To be as usable or as prepared as possible it must be first flexible, then comfortable, then strong in that order and ALL 3. Comfortable means that one can disengage the quads/hips in the bottom of the squat while holding the back/core tight(think about sitting in a chair with good posture, your quads are not working, so literally can you sit on yourself?) Now, go FIND your bottom position, fix if needed, and get some pause squats in your life. #pausesquatsmakeyouabetterperson #getdownthere @crossfitcentex @jodi_cfctx @fringesport @sfh @thetrainingplan @mikecerbus
