Reposted by Dave: I have an issue with my 13 year old aspie. His school called me in yesterday. Apparently he made a kill list in class with students names on it and showed it to other students. One student did the right thing and told the teacher. I am almost positive he didnt understand how serious that was. He saw a movie recently with a kill list exactly like the one he made, but now he hasnt connected that movie to his doing. He said the kids on the list were mean to him, but couldnt give any specifics other than they just dont like him. Hes suspended for the rest of the week. So I will have plenty of time with him. He is in counseling, he is on medication. He lives in a very loving environment. He obsesesses over violence. We limit what he watches, what games he plays etc. He is a tender hearted boy and doesnt have the means or the gumption to actually hurt anyone but he talked about it. Publicly, in a very wrong way. When we explained what kill means, he says he doesnt really want to do that, he just wants people to like him. Any advice? Please be nice, I am fragile right now, my heart is broken with disappointment. I just want my boy to be happy and I am willing to do anything to help him. Please post anonymously.
