Politics is neither a business transaction nor a charitable undertaking, it is a daibolic game of correct mathematical gymnasium coupled with an astuteness to carry along all and sundry, it is political immaturity and naivety to think that only a collection or assembly of good politicians that can lead to political victory. Just like government is defined as an act of ruling people by deceiving them, so also politics is an act of deceiving electorate to garner votes, it doesnt matter if the politician(s) is/are good or bad, what matters is how rooted and grounded he/she is at the grassroot level, how convincingly can he/she manipulates and manoeuvre the electorates minds to vote for him or his candidate, this is politicking. The rumours going round on socialmedia that former Governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff (SAS) is to cross-carpet PDP will be a great lost to APC at both state and national level and a very big asset to PDP at state and National level, SAS may be bad, aggressive and uncompromising, but when it comes to politics of #Borno and politicking, he is unequalled. His strong political grip from the days of UNPC during Abatcha regime to date in Borno body politics cannot be ignore, he is known to have political base and loyalty in all the twenty seven (27) local government areas of Borno state, some APC may jubilate his outing from the party that is ruling the state but I will be a great asset and victory for the state opposition party. It is common knowledge to every Borno citizens how SAS always spend his time and money to see that he scaled during politics, politicking and election, yes Ali Modu Sheriff can be accused of inflaming the BokoHaram insurgency by an act of commission or omission when he was the Governor of the state, but isnt the present Governor (Kashim) part of the Sheriff government ?
