Also emails being delivered weeks after they were sent......Dan Chilton: The secure internet is insecure, and its always been that way. So called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is not so secure. This widely used internet protocol uses a so called heartbeat, to ask the other computer, are you still there? The vulnerability is there in that exchange, and an interloper can use the vulnerability, to find passwords and access sensitive data & systems. bits.blogs.nytimes/2014/04/08/flaw-found-in-key-method-for-protecting-data-on-the-internet. Each system wishing to secure their SSL must install a patch, and most users need to be mindful that different sites may be insecure until they install the patch.
