Reposting this again, as another year with very little progress has passed. Now we have ISIS and others to deal with also. More potential wars. More economic ruin. I look at the Obama Admin and am disappointed in all the opportunities he had to turn things around, and yet it still goes endlessly on. You picked the wrong battles my friend, imo. He had the opportunity to be great. Now, itll be an achievement if he is regarded as mediocre, at best. No doubt in my mind, that the color of his skin aided the opposition. But, theres more to it than that. Hes lacking FDRs balls to bring the country back from economic ruin. Nor is he a Teddy Roosevelt, willing to take on the corporations and the monied control they exert on who governs this country. Not a Lincoln, not a Washington. Greatness is lacking in the man. Were at a time in this countrys life that greatness is required to get the job done effectively. Its safe to say hes not ending up on Mt Rushmore. Then again, neither will Clinton, either Bush, or the Republicans God, Reagan. All have contributed to leading us down the primrose path to where we are today. And its not a good place to be, folks. I am neither a confirmed Democrat or Republican. Im a confirmed American Independent who is looking around at the situation that has existed since 9-11 at both parties, and wondering just when the hell our leaders will actually stand up and lead. That goes for the Presidency, the House, The Senate, and the Supreme Court of the US. I feel like Diogenes looking for an honest man today.
