In the mid 2010s, a musical version of the (fabulous, classic) film To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar was in development for Broadway. Creative and Licensing difficulties ultimately derailed the project before it could be fully brought to life, but out of the smoldering rubble, a handful of INSANELY AMAZING costumes remain to remind us of what might have been... and I got them from the designer herself! Really, what I say? From the immaculate construction (fully lined with a built in bullet bra!), luminous deep blue satin against bold polkadot print, the wildly curvy fit, the triple layer wired ruffle sleeves....
