Reps Bar Journalists From Covering Defence Of State House Budget The House Committee on Special Duties which oversights the State House yesterday held the budget defence in a closed-door session after asking journalists to vacate the venue of the meeting.The State House budget proposal has generated controversy since it was discovered to include purchase an embalming machine for N1.65m; a hydraulic post-mortem table at N4m; N8m for maintainance of its zoo and N14.5m to purchase two animals; N76.3m to purchase crested cutlery; N1.19bn for general maintenance, of which N138.9m will go for motor vehicle and transport equipment maintenance; N907m for office and residential building maintenance, etc.
