Repton Road Club – anniversary weekend! No, not this weekend. On the 21st October, 2012, the Repton RC peloton cycled 22.04 miles to Longford and back in 1:32:23 (thanks to the Social Secretary for being a touch obsessive on details). So, at Monday’s Social Evening, the assembled masses came up with a plan to mark this auspicious occasion. It took some careful planning and consideration but here we go... on Friday 18th October we’ll go to The Red Lion and follow it up with a meal at the Jaipur. Then, on Sunday 20th October we’ll extend the normal Sunday ride to take a cafe/pub stop for lunch. Inspired, stuff, I know, but it has all the hallmarks of success – beer and cycling. Keep your diaries clear.
