Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City MEMORANDUM TO : COMMAND GROUP, DIRECTOR OR DIRECTORATES HEAD OF OFFICES, NHQ ALL REGIONAL DIRECTORS, FNTI DIRECTOR SUBJECT : Guidance on Proper wear of New Type B Polo Shirt Uniform DATE : 16 JULY 2013 1. In the with the BFP Uniform Committee’s thrust to research, develop, design and implement policies concerning new sets of BFP Uniforms, the Committee recommended prescribed standard and specifications on the proper wearing of Type b Polo shirt which was consequently approved by the OIC, BFP. 2. In view of the above subject, the specifications for the Type B Polo Shirt Uniform must be Midnight blue Cotton Shirt with orange collar (no buttons) and orange ribbing on sleeves having a 1.5” tall BFP glow in the dark print on the front left chest, BFP logos on both sleeves with Regional Assignment indicated on left sleeve below the logo, and Bureau of Fire Protection (glow in the dark) prints at the back. 3. In wearing the new Type B Polo Shirt Uniform, the following guidelines must be observed: a.) Type B Polo Shirt Uniform must be paired with Goa pants for male and female, plain black socks (6 inches above the ankle), black low-cut shoes (5 holes for male, 4 holes and 1 ½ inches heel for female). b.) The said Type B Uniform must be worn when on duty on Tuesdays and Thursdays including travelling to and from work or during official travel covered by appropriate Bureau Order or Department Order and during informal functions such as seminars and trainings unless the organizer of the event prescribes other uniforms. c.) The Type B Polo Shirt shall not be worn with jeans, shorts or any other trousers other than GOA pants. The shirt will be tucked into the GOA pants at all times. d.) Moreover, these rules shall apply to all active uniformed personnel of BFP even on detail with other agencies. 4. Type B Polo Shirt shall be made solely by suppliers/manufacturers accredited by the BFP Uniform Committee to ensure uniformity and best quality. 5.
