Republicans erect roadblocks to voting, claiming there is rampant voter fraud. If there is obvious fraud occurring, why do they assume their own elections are not based on fraud too ? Or should we all accept the theory that fraud only leads to Democrats being elected ? I have seen rates of proven voter fraud that range from 10 per million, up to 400 per million. Even if the high end of the range is accurate, it is nowhere near enough to change an electoral outcome. The right decries this as the scourge of our time. The left more or less denies fraud happens except in the rarest of cases. Neither side is accurate. But in the long run, it is just one more false argument from both. One more distraction from the reality that those elected to govern are NOT governing at all. At best, they are just fighting over how to split up the wealth of this nation.
