Request for proposals Satellite Communications Services NRF bid number: SKA N0001-0004/2014 ska.ac.za/tenders The SKA SA requests potential service providers to submit bids for a subsidised satellite telecommunications service to serve the communities affected by the implementation of the Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act. The SKA SA has elected to pay for the once-off initial hardware costs (CAPEX) to allow the farming communities to pay for the day-to-day operational costs (OPEX) at the market rate for standard telecoms services. Proposals should include detailed costing and assumptions. Preferential Procurement System applicable 90:10. A voluntary briefing will be held at the SKA SA Offices on the 30 May 2014 from 10:00 to 12:00. Kindly submit your proposals not later than 27 June 2014 before 11:00.
