Reserve Football League! (Round 6) The Emmets Reserve side travelled to Threemilehouse on Sunday to play Sean McDermott’s in their sixth game in Division Two of the league. Carrick lined out a strong panel of players with nine of them having played in the Intermediate league drawn-game against Inniskeen on Wednesday evening last! The match was pretty even at six-points apiece at half time; neither side could infiltrate the opposite defence and we were devoid of any goals nevertheless everything was set for a close encounter in the second half! Try as they did the Emmets strived to impose themselves on the game and they eventually found the net on two occasions; courtesy of Aaron Murray and Sean Downey; however it was not enough to alter the final outcome! As the half progressed the Seans introduced a few changes which brought fresh impetuous to their effort and they picked off points with a late flurry to secure victory by three-points; having scored seventeen in total. This loss leaves the Emmets joint fifth but more importantly five points adrift of a top four position. League Table!
