Residents in Yuhua can look forward to Yuhua becoming a “Green Neighbourhood”. One of the projects in the pipelines include an automated Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System (PWCS) where underground pipes will transport refuse to a centralised sealed container at the bin centre. This automation will improve the sanitation and efficiency of waste collection, as opposed to the conventional manual refuse collection currently installed. Other initiatives such as solar panels and sensor-controlled outdoor LED street lighting will also be installed to bring about greater energy and resource efficiency.
