Ever since the 2008 forest fire burned a swath through La Trinidad mountain, source of their water, they have experienced a loss of volume every time they open their taps. Ever since the destruction of the trees and foliage who roots hold the water, their water volume through the pipes has diminished by about 25%. The residents have formed an organization known as Coproarenas to reforest the burned off area.
