Resolutions of Larry A. Cochran Due to the next phase my family is entering, it is only fitting to revisit the following for the next week or so: Resolution #12. I am resolved to use the resources (time, money, and energy) that God has entrusted me with, by the Power of the Holy Spirit, in a way that shows the stewardship of grace displayed in the most honest and realistic fashion. I am resolved to be a good steward according to the bible in that I seek to follow a righteous pattern of working, saving, giving, and spending. Firstly, taking care of the natural needs I have so that I can live rightly and righteously; secondly taking compassionate care of my family in their natural needs as to giving them all things pertaining to life and godliness; thirdly, taking care of the needs of the widows and orphans through the local church and with partnership of the local church as to practice biblical religion and piety; fourthly, giving to the needs of the church body worldwide as God reveals those needs by discernment; finally, saving and spending in a manner that does not express a trapping of our hearts by treasuring things material.
