Responding to a request by the Nepalese embassy in Tripoli, government of India has rescued 126 Nepalese citizens trapped in Libya. Government of Nepal has thanked the Government of India for their valuable assistance. All these Nepalese citizens were working for a local company Dussan Heavy Industry and Construction. Probably they were illegal migrants and therefore the company had left them in the lurch. According to an official, due to absence of a No Objection Certificate they were not getting an exit visa. Indian embassy came to their rescue and helped them get the requisite exit visa.
