Rest - After getting my goal of 50000 metres for 2014 on Strava to satisfy my OCD I decided to take a bit of a break and scale the riding back for a few weeks. The unseasonal wet weather has certainly helped. Its harder not to ride if its 23 and sunny after all. I headed out on Sunday morning and felt stronger than I have in weeks. A little bit of rest doesnt hurt at all it would appear. With the details of a new build finalised in the last few days it is time to ramp up again. Essentially the same colour as my Mistral although white in the headtube and a few other features which will make this bike very special. More details and photos as that build commences. I was really hoping the client would like this Aston green like the 214 pictured but I will have to save that colour for myself. Ive headed back to finishing off my friends skis. It is nice working with wood. They are beautiful skis made of hickory. Quite a fun project. Ive been spending quite a bit of time at Imperial Fox here in Daylesford. So much good kit here. For workshop storage and buts and pieces it is hard to beat. If youre coming up this way drop in and see Brett, Cath and Andrea. They like a good laugh and have some fascinating stuff. I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. Here the great weather is back on making it hard not to get out. Wherever you are ride lots, ride a little. Life is better on a bike. Cheers Keir
