Rest in Peace Miss Flo, you will be missed by many,,,,, D. Flo Hull of Maysville, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. Mrs. Hull was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and the Mason County Homemakers and she was retired from Comprehend as the Foster Grandparent Supervisor. She was born in Lewis County, on March 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Harry and Quenna Spence Applegate. Survivors include her son, Derwen Shane Hull of Vanceburg; her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilburn Applegate of Maysville, and Boyd Applegate of Columbus, Ohio; and two sisters, Agnes Hicks of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Harrietta “Pat” Hobbs of Jacksonville, Fla. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelley Hull Solomon. Graveside services will be held at the Hillcrest Garden of Memories at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, with Rev. E. Ray Throckmorton officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at the Central United Methodist Church on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Central United Methodist Church, 912 East Second Street, Maysville, Ky. 41056. The arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
