Restricted width and height: Centenary Motorway southbound (26 Nov - TopicsExpress

Restricted width and height: Centenary Motorway southbound (26 Nov - 28 Feb) From Tuesday 26 November 2013 until Friday 28 February 2014, Centenary Motorway southbound will have height and width restrictions in place between Logan Motorway and Springfield Parkway. During this period, the road will be restricted to 5.5 metres wide and 5.5 metres high (Springfield Pedestrian Link Bridge). These restrictions are in place due to the placement of temporary concrete barriers which reduces the existing available roadway width as well as removing the existing 6.5m high load provision at the Springfield Pedestrian Link Bridge. Due to works on Centenary Motorway between Logan Motorway and Springfield Parkway, operators must submit to TrackStar Alliance the completed Western Corridor Excess Dimension Transport Application Form four (4) working days prior to travel (during business hours) if vehicles have a width greater than 3.5m or a height greater than 5.5m. This form is a TMR requirement in order to obtain approval from the TrackStar Alliance project to travel through project boundaries with wide and excessive dimension loads. If submitted applications have a base width more than 5.5m wide and if operators are able to raise their loads to ensure that their base width is more than 1.1m above the road surface then please nominate this on submitted applications. This additional detail will be used to assess whether the transport can be raised to clear the concrete barriers over the entire 4.5km length of road in order to travel along Centenary Motorway southbound. A 8.8m roadway width is available at the Springfield Pedestrian Link Bridge in order to allow for a raised load to lower in order to clear this 5.5m high bridge. Failure to provide four (4) working days notice may result in delays to loads. TrackStar Alliance Traffic Team Phone: 07 3291 7900 Email: [email protected] or [email protected]
