Retina Display is a brand name used by Apple for LCDs that have a pixel density high enough that the human eye is unable to discern individual pixels at a typical viewing distance Yes.. its that simple.. its just LCD not even AMOLED.. Now highest PPI so called retina could manage to go so far is just 326 while Samsung has managed to lift their PPI up to 441. Okay, lets say theyre copy cats.. Then how about LG (PPI 424), NOKIA (PPI 339), HTC (PPI 441)...? Most surprisingly if you ask this from Apple users 99% dont have a slightest clue that theyre the lowest in the game..! Moral of the story: Todays world marketing can do all sorts of shit one can ever imagine.
