Retired Ogun top civil servants hail Amosuns development strides The Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in Ogun State has acknowledged the landmark achievements of Governor Ibikunke Amosun in the rebuilding mission of his administration. The group also acknowledged the unprecedented relationship of the state government with retirees and workers as it honoured the governor as the grand patron of the association. Leader of the delegation of the association to the Governors office, yesterday, Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo noted the befitting state burial organised by the state government in honour of the first Head of Service and Secretary to the State Government, late Chief Adedotun Degun. Okuboyejo said the governments kind gesture and honour left an indelible mark in the minds of workers who are still in active service and out of service of the State Government. Erstwhile Head of Service, Princess Iyabo Odulate, while presenting the plaque to the governor on behalf of the association, said the honour was in recognition of the governors success and landmark achievements which has transformed the state. Amosun, in his response appreciated the association for the honour conferred on him, describing it as a challenge on him to do more for the people of the state. The governor said he would continue to give opportunity to the elder statesmen to contribute their quota to the development of the state, which he noted, is a better way to learn and share the wealth of experience of those who have been in the saddle of government activities in the past.
