Retraction and update on the prior Notary Law notation that I sent out this morning. I just learned the following: Outgoing-Governor Deval Patrick Sent the Notary Bill Back to the Legislature. The outgoing-Governor Deval Patrick actually sent the bill back to the legislature yesterday, minutes prior to the end of his term; this action is equivalent to a veto. The Senate must now re-introduce the bill or it will not become law.
