Retreads Retreading a tire means that the tires core is reused after its old tread is removed by a grinding machine and then replaced with a new tread. The new tread is put on the core using a process of applying high pressure and heat. The new tread adds better traction, improved reliability, and consistent performance to what was once ready for disposal. People can be emotionally and spiritually retreaded to be better than the original performance of their lives. Usually, like the tire, this process involves painfully grinding away old ideas and thoughts. Even more painful is the process of apply the heat and pressure needed to improve the functionality of what was headed for destruction. The grinding you feel may be in preparation for the new treads.
