Returned to Absalom Heights this evening to be faced with revolting staff. The whole lot of the buggers are demanding a pay increase to serve my needs for the next 12 months, and elected the darling undermaid Mica as their spokesperson. They did this because they know full well I have a soft spot spot for her (and sometimes not to soft, but be that as it may..ahem) and of course after exhortations I complied with the request. What they do not know, however, is that they will all be at my disposal 24 hours a day from now on. Democracy does not exist within these ancient walls. I may become an insomniac, just for the hell of it.
