Returned to see the nurse this morning. She removed the dressing that she had placed on my biopsy wound last week, and was very pleased at the result. The black, crusty scab had broken down into a rather offensive, sticky brown gunge, not unlike the gravy that flows from a steak & kidney pudding when you cut into it. This left the wound clear of all scabbing, but still a little red and inflamed. She has redressed it for me, and now I must wait for the 16th, to discover what Dr, Burrows and my nurses in dermatology at Salisbury hospital think of it all. I apologise if any of you are looking forward to steak & kidney pudding this evening! (Or, look at it this way. If you run low on gravy, give me a call.......)
