Rev. George Johnson, Jr .SFC,( Ret.), 80, of 253 Lovington Drive, Fayetteville died Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1pm at Williams Chapel Church in Spring Lake with Apostle Kimberly Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. He was the son of the late George, Sr. and Daisy Hosey Johnson and owned a janitorial service. He is survived by his wife, Mother Ruthie M. Johnson. Children, Joyce Pope, George R.V.Johnson, Denise Johnson, Rita Grimes, Gary Murphy, Natalie Johnson and Mary N.R.Johnson. A brother, Brice Hudson and several grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends on Monday 5-7pm at Williams Chapel Church in Spring Lake. Arrangements by Herring Funeral Care & Cremations of Fayetteville.
