Rev_21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. I am a big believer in the promises of our Lord. With the passing of my Grandmother a flood of memories came upon me. All the emotions that John speaks of in Revelation assailed me and this Scripture came to mind. I am not a teacher of eschatology (the study of end times) because I believe firmly that Gods elect will be brought to Him and the rest of eternity for us will be peace but I long for the day when those promises in Revelation 21:4 will come to pass because right now life is very painful. I have worked with some of you through the death of loved ones but today I have realized that its easy when its not me thats going through the pain to say, Its going to be alright. Because when death comes home it sure doesnt feel that way. But I know in my heart that its just my flesh that is sorrowful because my soul knows that truly, one day, Its going to be alright because the expired Word of God tells me so.
