Review number 1 For my reviews I will be reviewing a classic in DCAU. The first Batman and Superman Crossover aired on tv. The episodes Title was Worlds finest, and broken down into a movie called The Batman/Superman Movie. The Story is Joker steals a priceless Jade Dragon. Batman find out Joker is heading to Metropolis to kill Superman for Luthor. Superman it outmatched by Jokers chatoic nature, and Batman is overwhelmed by Luthors intellect and resources. both heroes must settle their differences to stop them. I love this episode. As you all know Im a DC fan, and seeing this episode is great. As this episode was DCs two biggest heroes meeting in their aniamted universe. Both shows referenced the other before but this time the two titans meet, and when they meet for the first time its great. Batman judo flips Superman, and Superman supertackles Batman. Its nice to see the heroes on edge of at each other first but work together to stop a common enemy. I loved the scene of how the two found out who each other were. Superman using xray vision and Batman using his tech. It was nice to see both heroes touche each other, but work together in the end. A great thing about thisn episode is the villains. Joker, Luthor, Harley, and Mercy have amazing chemistry. Clancy brown and Mark Hamill really show they are the characters in this special. Luthor being the hotheaded genius, and Joker being the uncontrolable psycho. What makes this episode nice is both villains show they have trouble handling their rival and call each other out on it. THe Limo ride scene was nice because how funny it is, and then it gets dead serious. Of course we knew one of the villains were going to turn on each other. Another scene I like with the two villains is where Luthor confronts Joker about using his lab, and we get Harley vs Mercy. I enjoyed how they worked the two womens fighting style in the fight. Harley being more acrobatic, and Mercy being stronger. While thats going on we see Luthor call Joker out again that he can handle Batman, which as we know you shouldnt call him out on. I guess two things I dont like is the Lois and Bruce romance. Its not bad but it feels almost forced, and the relationship moves WAY to fast. It almost seemed like the episode needed Lois and Bruce to begin dating just so Lois can be captured. The other thing is the Jokers supposed death scene. I hate it because the Joker was brought back, with no explanation on how he survived. In Batman Beyond Return of the Joker we find out later Joker used CADMUS tech to do that to Tim Drake, and in the episode Wild Cards, it can be argues Aces power was only temporary on Joker. The Animation works good, as it tries to mix both shows artstyle. batman being the darker noir style, but having Supermans slicker artstyle. Batman TAS later adopted to this artstyle, which was nice, as we got some cool character designs like Mr.Freeze and Scarecrow. Overall this episode is a 4.5/5 stars. youtu.be/DlavcWH7iNE
