Review of Progress: From 0 to 80 Followers: CORE was created to be a major driving force for both the uptake of renewable power in Australia and electrification in the public transport system, starting with its members. A great thanks must go to everyone who has believed in what CORE represents and what it aspires to be in the near future. I knew something must be done to revive our vision, restore our faith in each other and draw the climate concerned people towards a space of optimism and fearless determination. With the right facts on renewable energy, its advantages and the real benefits it brings not on to the climate but on our economy, health, quality of life and social equity, we can push forward with drive and direction. As the community of CORE begins to grow I hope it will be inspiring a new wave of creativity, fierce determination and defiance that will overpower apathy. A bold approach will be vital for us to build the structure and mechanisms for a grounded, diverse and effective organisation. We must use the best tools of technology to spread and diversify our activities and maximise the opportunity to build a solid brand and strong reputation as a proactive and approachable climate-centred business. CORE will not just be a brand, a concept or a network but will exist as multi-facet organisation comprising of a CORE Foundation and 4 partnering businesses that operate for independent growth and also support the growth of the CORE Foundation and further public participation. The four businesses will be CORE Sydnicate, E.C.E.P., Juicity and E.V.E. CORE Sydnicate Roles: 1. To market and sell CORE merchandise and information documents. 2. Distribute merchanise and information about CORE. 3. Donate a percentage of profits to CORE Foundation. ECEP - Electric Charing Evolve Project Roles: 1. Offer incentives for people to fund eletric charging infrastructure for use in the home and public car charging facilities. 2. Work in partnership with electric charging companies to fund and promote electric charging technologies. 3. Donate a percentage of profits to CORE Foundation. Juiciity Roles: 1. A juice bar sellling takeaway organic fruit juice that promotes the benefits of solar and wind energy. 2. Invests profits in local renewable energy projects. 3. Donate a percentage of profits to CORE Foundation. EVE - Electric Vehicle Enterprises 1. Run conversion workshops that enable drivers of enternal combustion engines to convert their car to an suitable fully electric drive motor by a qualified motor electrician. 2. Restore used cars with expired internal combustion motors with electric motors 3. Offer competitve financing options for renting and buying electric vehicles. 4. Donate a percentage of profits to CORE Foundation The power to create change in our energy system lies with us. We are not the powerless but the powerful. We are all consumer of energy and rely on energy daily for modern day conveniences. As the consumer, we dont always have complete control of which type of energy we use and or how we use it. By belonging to large member base in an organisation such as CORE you will be leverging the combined power of the organisation to save you and your communhity money, acquire renewable energy and thereby increase your percentage of renewables in everyday life. One of the aims of CORE is to shed light on idea of the solar thermal power station. To bring people to a place where they dont just believe in the feasibility of solar thermal power but are wiling to invest their energy, time and resources into making it a reality. This is particularly important in a time when government are powerless to act and consistently choose a backward option to lock into contracts with fossil fuel companies. In recent times, social media, word of mouth and even social movements havent created the critical mass for a large shift to renewable energy that is so desperately needed in the current energy/climate crisis and 2010 - 2020 time scale. This is the premise behind the combined business and foundation structure of CORE.
