Review of The TV Program That Was Not On by Author Tom Ufert ***** 5 STARS – “Delightfully Entertaining and Colorfully Descriptive!” Georgia Faye Pope’s book, The TV Program That Was Not On, is a fresh piece of literary creativity. To be perfectly honest, Sci-Fi is far from my usual genre of leisure reading. However, I am genuinely thrilled with this unusually entertaining piece of literary innovation. Pope is uniquely gifted in her detailed character and extraordinarily talented descriptive plot developments. Unlike the typical Sci-Fi work one finds today, this book is not overly boring with technical terminology or burdened by heady intellectual schematics that distract the reader. On the contrary, the almost childlike approach as portrayed from the adolescent main character’s perspective reminds this reviewer of Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters. It is therefore, delightfully entertaining and colorfully descriptive enough to have a cross generational appeal for almost any age group. Truthfully speaking Pope’s fresh and easy going style of writing gradually draws the reader into a warm and pleasant read that is ideal for a spring afternoon of lakeside pleasure. Though there are occasional grammatical inconsistencies that earmark the possible novice nature of an aspiring author, I am supremely confident these will fade with experience. I can assure prospective readers that this in no way mars the overall entertaining quality of this unexpected literary gem. I eagerly look forward to even greater works from this highly talented author. amazon/TV-Program-that-was-not-ebook/dp/B00M9830NK/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1410713056&sr=1-1&keywords=georgia+faye+pope
