Reviewers say this film lacks pizzaz, or something, but I - TopicsExpress

Reviewers say this film lacks pizzaz, or something, but I experienced a riveting story of the first ten years of the United Farm Workers. The film lacks the typical Hollywood hijinks, and presents Michael Peñas Chávez as a relatable and committed leader of tens of thousands of virtually enslaved immigrant farm workers. Its good to recall a time in the mid-60s when shouting Huelga! (Strike!) got you arrested in a vineyard in Delano CA. Its a wonderful film for people who remember not eating grapes for ten years because of the UFA boycott, and also for younger people who know nothing at all about César Chávez. His legacy is profound and enduring, and the film shows us why.
