Revisited an old friend today. This blade I bought on an old Indian Tulwar sword, but is originally from a European hanger c. late C17th - early C18th. Blade shows signs of pattern welding. I decided to create a suitable hangar style hilt in steel and antler with repeating fluted detail. She has been in the armoury for years and was not in best condition, so brought blade and hilt back to life including fully bluing hilt components. Shes happier for it!
