Reward increased to $20,000 on Doug Crawford Case Sheriff Ray Latham has requested assistance from Governor Robert Bentley in providing reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of James Douglas Crawford. Crawford was found dead in his burning home just outside of Ashland on Mack Crawford Road, December 28, 2011. Agents from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Bureau of Investigation (ABI), Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and others continue their investigation into this brutal murder. Rewards now posted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Office of the Governor, State of Alabama and the Crawford Family now stand at $20,000 (Twenty Thousand Dollars). Anyone with information should contact the Alabama Bureau of Investigation tip line @ 1 800 392 8011 or the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office at 334 241 4166, or the Clay County Sheriff’s Office @ 256 354 2176.
