I still remember the sound of the raging waves in the darkness, approaching those rocks. This was my first morning in Iceland, and I had been driving almost all night. In the darkness I I had passed a lot of well-known places without seeing anything at all, but now the dawn made the rocks visible from distance. I was alone on the black beach, feeling the atmosphere, it was magical.. Of all places I visited on Iceland during my one week stay there, this was definitive one of my favorites!
