Reza Aslan calls out the media for generalization and bigotry when reporting on Muslims. I usually refrying from political or religious talk on FB (for the most part) but Rezas level of intellect is so refined and balanced, I want to post this. As a far left leaning, gay marriage supporting, pro-choice advocating, evolution adhering, atheist befriending, Buddhist mindfulness meditating, science revering Christian, I often see Christians being painted with a grossly broad brush, so I would imagine my Muslim brothers and sisters get a lot of the same. I think this is very wise. I wish more media would interview true experts when dealing with a subject that is as vastly complex and complicated as this one.
