Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you… (Matthew 28:18-20). If you’re born again, the Name of Jesus has been named upon you. That Name is the greatest Name ever revealed to man, for it’s the Name by which God created all things. God vested all authority in the wonderful and matchless Name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares that Jesus delegated His authority to us, and commissioned us to make disciples of all nations, in His Name. He said, …baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. He used the singular noun name, showing us that the Name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Spirit is Jesus. When you study the Book of Acts, you’d observe that in carrying out the instructions of the Master, the Apostles baptized in the Name of Jesus (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16). They understood Jesus’ statement without any ambiguity. They knew that the Name Jesus is the Name of the God head! When you say In the Name of Jesus, you’re referring to the Deity. Colossians 1:19 says, For it pleased the Father that in him (Jesus) should all fulness dwell. The fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells in Jesus—the Name above every name. Get excited about the Name of Jesus! Philippians 2:10 says …at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Everything and every being that exists in heaven, earth, or under the earth are subject to Jesus. Prayer Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the authority to function in the Name of Jesus! I live by the power of that Name today, in dominion, victory, and righteousness. I experience peace, progress, increase, success, and prosperity always, in the Name of Jesus.
