Rheann is home and getting settled in for the evening. She did really good today and I have to say she was a real trooper. She had to be NPO (cant eat or drink anything) after 4:30 AM. She was finally taken back to start her scan at 2 PM today and was done at 5 PM. Now on to a story that happened today that I wanted to share with you guys. While we were in the waiting room waiting for them to come and take us back to get ready for the MRI a gentleman came in and set down across the room from us. At the time there was only 5 of us in the waiting room, Rheann and I included in that, and this gentleman kept looking in our direction with tears in his eyes. I wasnt sure if he was even seeing us or not (I tend to stare through people also when I have a lot on my mind), and I was trying to decide if I should just go over and talk to him and see if there was anything I could do for him, when he got up and disappeared through the doorway. I was praying in my head that he hadnt just got the same news as we have gotten in the past and that he would be okay when he came back through the door with a package and walked up to Rheann. He sat down next to her and pulled out a green stuffed bear and a angel statue. He told her that she looked like she needed this stuffed bear and that she needed a angel to watch over her. He still had tears in his eyes but started laughing as Rheann hugged the bear and said Thank you. I talked briefly with him and his wife (she walked in right after he gave the bear to Rheann). I didnt get their story but I will say they touched our lives today and I pray that everything is ok with this family. They helped take Rheanns mind off of her stomach and make her smile. I wish I would have gotten their names but if you guys are out there please know Rheann loves her bear (and angel!!!) and you will be in our hearts and prayers. We will know the results sometime next week (Im hoping Tuesday or Wednesday) and will let you know when I find out something. Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers! :)
