Ribbon Winners at the State Fair A three generation Skaneateles family cooked up some prize winning dishes in the New York State Fair Culinary competition for the second year in a row. Granddaughter, Katie McCall, left, daughter Renee Brown and mother Marian Marchand stand outside the Art and Home Center showing off the ribbons they earned over the weekend. McCall received first place for her cherry pie pops n the food on a stick category. Brown received a honorable mention for her cheese mini quiches in the cheese dish category. Marchand received second place for her creamed carrots and onion in the vegetarian dish category and an honorable mention for her apple crumble in the apple dish category.
