Richard Keihl, 31, was sentenced on Monday at the Orleans County Court in Albion, N.Y. to the maximum penalty of two years in prison for felony aggravated cruelty to an animal and endangering the welfare of a child. According to the DailyNewsOnline, Keihl of 1814 East Townline Rd. in the town of Yates, picked up a kitten belonging to one of the neighbors at the Heritage Meadows Apartments in Carlton and for no reason just drop kicked the defenseless cat across the complex. Keihl kicked and killed the kitten in front of a nine-year-old child. He then threw the kitten into a dumpster. A necropsy revealed the kitten died of blunt force trauma to its head and body. Other tenants reported they had witnessed Keihl doing similar heinous activities in the past.
