Richard Kiel dies at the age of 74 It saddens us to hear that Richard Kiel, who played as the iconic Bond villain Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker, has passed. No details have been revealed of the cause of death as of yet, but we do know he died Saint Agnes Medical Centre, Fresno, California. Kiel recently had surgery on his leg, though it is unlikely related. Close friend and former Bond actor Sir Roger Moore spoke up on twitter saying: I am totally distraught to learn of my dear friend Richard Kiels passing. We were on a radio programme together just a week ago. Distraught. In an interview with #SkyNews, Sir Roger Moore said, I play heroes but Im rotten, he played bad but was a really good man. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was a very bright man, he continues, he looked a little extraordinary and you wouldnt sort of think at first glance, that (he had) one hell of a brain. He was a marvellous, wonderful, warm, warm-hearted man, Kiels agent Steve Stevens also said, He was a very loyal friend and client for over 35 years, a terrific husband and father, and was not only a giant actor but a giant man. He is survived by his wife Diane, four children and nine grandchildren, who we wish the very best in what is no doubt a tough time for them.
