Richard and I had a conversation with a friend today......when we were children (a long, long time ago in a place far away) family and friends of our parents would stop by to visit. Or we would stop by on them when we were out. Always followed by coffee and a nice chat....usually brief, but sometimes including an invitation to stay awhile and have some food. Of course if the visited party was busy or on their way out, you would gracefully leave and talk about another time. Now you must be invited or make an appointment. If you dare to think about that stopping by concept, youre rude....its against the rules!! On occasion Ive even considered stopping by to see someone but then I remember the rule! What happened??? Who made that rule??
