Richard has some questions: Hi peeps, I have been suffering with this now for about 10 years but only got given the diagnosis of Menieres disease around 18 months ago. The Doctor at my local hospital is talking about giving me a intratympanic gentamicin injection but says there are some risks as with any medical procedure. I already have severe hearing loss in my left ear and it seems that at this moment in time it is only the left side that is being effected. Has anyone else had this injection? if so how was the outcome? would you recommend it? and would you know if it halts the disease? by this I mean would it stop it from progressing to my right ear? Sorry for all the questions but I am unsure what way to go with this as I also care for my sick wife and cannot afford to be restricted in any way that I care for her. I am also 45 years old if that makes any difference. Thank you. Richard
