Rick Ladd introduced this video so nicely, Ill just go ahead and quote his caption for mine: This is really beautiful and touching. However, it also brings up an important issue regarding the role men play in their childrens and, therefore, everyones lives. Why does it take so long for many fathers to be able to show physical affection and loving support for their children? Why is it so awkward? Im not suggesting its just male timidity either. Im sure there are lots of families where the mother or other women in the family discourage the fathers involvement, especially in the first few months. Talk about tangled webs. This subject could probably fuel some lengthy dissertations. I believe this video also illustrates how much further we have to go in our development as a species; in becoming what we consider fully realized humans
